From time to time, we have tried to convey the essence of the pilot house of the PPH but we have hardly talked about the bedroom at all. This is almost inexcusable because the owner’s bedroom on the PPH is lovely, and unique in a yacht of her size.
So let’s go for a short walk, some 9 metres through the PPH, starting back at one of the steering wheels:
Arriving at the owner’s bedroom, or master cabin, you will find something never seen on a 42′ sailing yacht – A full-size double bed, facing the right direction – pillows against the bulkhead forward, feet aft. With a proper headboard, bedside tables, reading lamps, 3 big hanging lockers and ample drawer space:
The bed itself is 2 m long, 1,6 m wide. A thick spring mattress and a bedding mattress. En-suite entrance to bathroom and shower. This is a view from the builders’ early 3D model, used for production of the interior:
Seen from aft, a cross section of bed, bedside tables, lamps and headboard:
And, half-sitting in bed with your book, a view aft through the PPH:
Now, we are all looking forward to showing the first PPH upon launching later this summer 🙂
