Celeste 34′ #1 ‘Celes’ Hits the Water and Flies The Celeste 34 prototype leaving the yard for her first test sail. Wind was 12 knots, gusting a little more Speed with Jib up to 7 knots With Code Zero 8-9 knots and With the small gennaker 11-12 knots. Water ballast was not in use for this trial. Great fun. During the past week-end, Marstrand saw a spectacular fleet of classic (pre-war) beautiful wooden 12 metres racing. Sailing conditions were perfect. We were fortunate to watch one of the races and catch a few images. Enjoy! The next racing series will be in Copenhagen, followed by Monaco, Newport, Cannes and St. Tropez. The prototype Celeste 34 Sport is soon ready to sail. This is the first sailboat resulting from a collaboration between Heyman Yachts, Chalmers University of Technology and SSPA (the test tank facility in Gothenburg).
