The New Heyman 34 Sport in Ellös and Marstrand

21 September, 2022

Biggest Sail Boat Show in Northern Europe

Our new Heyman 34 Sport was shown at the Boat Show in Ellös a few weeks ago. We had visitors from near and far – Norway, Finland, Germany and (obviously) Sweden.
There was a flattering interest in the new boat. For some, the new 34 was the attraction of the show and the reason they went there.

There are a couple of reports, one from Norwegian ‘Seilmagasinet‘  (for subscribers, click to see article)

Web publication ‘Hamnen‘ published a teaser about their upcoming test sail:

Other reports are expected from Finnish
‘Frisk Bris’ (print only), Swedish
‘Search Magazine’, and more

A Week Later, Sailing South

From Ellös, the 34′ Sport was sailed south, through Marstrand

Racing 12-Metres

Turns out the classic Twelves were racing again – this image is from a couple of years ago, showing Olin Stephens-designed ‘Vim’, built in 1939:

Now here she comes, again having just won the race on Saturday, September 3, 2022 – and the harbour is getting a bit crowded with the 12s finishing under spinnaker:

Last one, the German Thea passed – and time to hoist again, heading south:
