12 Metre Class European Championship 2019 in Marstrand

During the past week-end, Marstrand saw a spectacular fleet of classic (pre-war) beautiful wooden 12 metres racing. Sailing conditions were perfect. We were fortunate to watch one of the races and catch a few images. Enjoy! The next racing series will be in Copenhagen, followed by Monaco, Newport, Cannes and St. Tropez. New Celeste 34 Sport

The prototype Celeste 34 Sport is soon ready to sail. This is the first sailboat resulting from a collaboration between Heyman Yachts, Chalmers University of Technology and SSPA (the test tank facility in Gothenburg). Celeste 36 tested in ‘Yacht’

Yacht (Germany) has published their test of the Celeste 36 in issue #5, 2017, available here. The test was performed outside Marstrand north of Gothenburg on 25 and 26 August, in winds between 20 and 27 knots. peaking at 33. She performed admirably, touching at 7 knots upwind with GPS verified tacking angles of just above 70 degrees.
